Women in Music AGM and Panel Discussion at London New Wind Festival

The AGM of Women in Music will be held on Friday 6th November 2009 from 5.15 to 6.15 PM, at the Regent's Hall, Oxford Street, LONDON. Nominations for the committee should be received by Friday 23rd October.

The AGM will be followed by a Panel Discussion (6.30 p.m.) and Concert of Music by Women Composers (7.30 p.m.).

Reverend Professor June Boyce-Tillman, MBE
Composer, Professor of Applied Music at the University of Winchester.

Julia Usher
Composer, Co-editor of Primavera Music, Music Therapist, Community Music organiser.

Dr. Claudia Molitor
Composer, Director and Co-Founder of Soundwaves Festival.

Diana Ambache
Conductor and pianist, Founder of the Ambache Chamber Orchestra.

Dr. Margaret Lucy Wilkins
Composer, Head of Music Composition (Retired) University of Huddersfield.


7.30 Concert of Music by Women Composers

Performers include Nancy Ruffer (flute), Sally Mays (piano), Catherine Pluygers (oboe), Phil Edwards (clarinet), Alan Tomlinson (trombone), Robert Coleridge piano/conductor), Enid Blount (clarinet) - guest artist USA.
