Join Frances M Lynch and Electric Voice Theatre, with Oskar Jensen, BBC New Generation Thinker and music historian for an informal evening of songs, poetry and story-telling at Conway Hall’s historic Library, celebrating the music of Eliza Flower (1803–1846). This is a unique opportunity to be among the first people to hear her work performed for at least 100 years. The performance will be accompanied by a display of rarely seen archival materials from Conway Hall.

WiM would like to remind composers about JAM’s 2023 call for music.
JAM write ‘The Call is open to all composers across the UK to submit scores for choir, brass and organ or any combination of these forces for performance in London on 20th March 2024. As well as driving their profile and networking with musicians, promoters and media, JAM will record the performance for the composers to use their piece for self-promotion. On our website are inspirational bite-size tutorials, including by VOCES8, Onyx Brass and Francesca Massey on different aspects of composing for choir, brass and organ. To date these have had 23,000 views. Composers need to click on www.jamconcert.org for full info, to submit and watch the videos.’
Submissions should reach JAM by Friday, 27 October 2023, 5pm.
